Tong Tian Temple

    Taihao Mausoleum ranks the highest level in buildings. Our ancestor Fu Xi laid the foundation of the Chinese nation, creating a great cause of nation unified. Hence it is called Tong Tian Temple.

    It was firstly built in Ming Dynasty with the type of single brim and gable roof. You could see five rooms in front and three rooms deeply. The roof was covered by yellow glazed tile with large ridge decorating with dragons and phoenix and 28 constellations, located on the straight stylobate. The golden statue of Fu Xi is propitiated in the temple. Zhu Xiang and Hao Ying stand next to the golden statue. The temple platform is taken as the land of sacrifice. The whole building is magnificent and majestic.

Xian Ren Temple

    It was built in Ming Dynasty with the type of single brim and gable roof. You could see seven rooms in front and five rooms deeply. It is located on the straight stylobate of thirteen levels. Xian Ren, originated from “Xian Zhu Ren, Cang Zhu Yong” on the book “Yi, Xi Ci Shang”, which means we should demonstrate our benevolence and impose our blessings on all the matters in the world.

Wu Chao Gate

    "Wu” refers to the meridian which means the direction of south. "Chao” refers to the direction. So “Wu Chao Gate” refers to the gate towards to south. It was built in Ming Dynasty with the type of single brim and gable roof. You could see three rooms in front and one room deeply. The gate is red with golden nails which are laid by nine in horizon and nine in vertical. And this kind of layout belongs to emperor regulation. There are Dong Tian Gate and Xi Tian Gate besides Wu Chao Gate.

The kiln of descendants (Zi Sun Yao)

    The kiln of descendants is the materialization of reproductive worship in the ancient females. Six thousand years ago, human ancestors Fu Xi brought young men and women of the tribe together in the form of “meeting” for every mid-spring. He put a piece of stone with a kiln in the middle of the meeting. If man or woman had favor to each other, they would make an agreement to touch the kiln and then become husband and wife. It then involved into the custom of praying for descendants or hoping descendants healthy and smart by touching the kiln.

Du Xiu Park

    Du Xiu Park is the only national park that features the model art of pine and cypress. Overseas tourists and garden experts considered it as “the wonder of the world”.

    The park was founded in 1957. Under the guidance of government and the planning of park construction, the founder Wang Yuehui took the model art of pine and cypress to Taihao mausoleum. After continuous innovation and development, the specific model art garden of pine and cypress was formed. Wang Yuehui’s father, Wang Dianyi, once worked as gardener for Warlord Wu Peifu and Nanjing Presidential Palace. Wang Yuehui has an intense fondness for garden art. He learnt from his father since childhood, and after continuous exploration, he created many art models.

    There are more than 200 kinds of models including buildings, platforms, pavilions, cabinets, rare birds and animals. They are originated from nature and manifest nature varied and vivid which is considered as “the art of plant sculpture”. Besides, the special trees and spectaculars such as twinned branches, love trees and sophora japonica are unforgettable and memorable.
